iOS WebDAV issue

Unable to sync via WebDAV which is setup as https.

Currently turning on VPN and then using local http: address which works, just a bit of a hassle to turn on just to sync when away on devices.

    The request timed out.
    The request is just timing out. Nothing else we can tell you.

    Is there any suggestions on what else I could try to figure out why the time out. The same https: webdav loads fine in readdle documents, pdf expert, etc on the same device. This doesn’t appear to be a WebDAV issue but it only happens with Zotero.

    Additional question. If I just use local sync (or turn on vpn to use local WebDAV), will that lead to sync errors. I use my Mac, iPad, iPhone throughout the day. Would best practice be to sync device before using another to avoid conflicts?

    I have the same issue on iOS. If I add a file which is bigger then 1M or so, the synchronization fails with a timeout error in a few seconds. Smaller files are uploaded without a problem. For big ones I have to delete them on my iPhone and reupload using Zotero on the desktop computer.

    @irygaev: No, that's not the issue here.

    @jmanko16: You're getting the timeout just for a basic HTTP OPTIONS request. Given that this is a DDNS address, this is clearly some sort of custom setup. I'd guess that either you or the server is behind some sort of firewall that's blocking OPTIONS requests or the server doesn't properly handle them.
