Transferring articles from university library to Zotero

I did a a search and found articles on my university's library website and saved them to a a person account on the site. How do I now transfer them to Zotero to create the bibliographies?

You should see the Zotero icon activate when searching in your institution's library catalog/discovery layer. See e.g. the Folder icon Zotero displays here:

Unfortunately, I do not see any Zotero icon to activate and that is the problem. When I open a particular article, I see other bibliographic options, but never Zotero. This is frustrating and becoming more difficult than its worth.

So do you see a Zotero icon? And if you do and I don't (when I log in to "my account at SCSU) what's the deal?

You need to install the Zotero Connector. You'll see a Zotero icon in your browser toolbar that you can click to add the item to your library. You should always use that instead of a website's own save/citation file download button when possible, since the metadata that you get will be better as a general rule.

Did you check the link? The icon is part of the Zotero browser connector. Some icon appears on every page when you have wthe connector installed, and you'll almost certainly see the folder one for search results from your library catalog.

The extension was added to Chrome for Google Docs. I don't see it still as an option within my university's library page so I can transfer saved searches to Zotero. .

It doesn't appear on your university's library page. It appears in your browser toolbar. Again, please read through the documentation page linked above. If you're not seeing it, see No Toolbar Button.
