Upgrade StorageHow to use Zotero on a shared multi-users machine?

Recently we faced a problem using Zotero on a shared machine. It seems to be a common use case but I cannot find any discussion on this issue.
Our lab is using a shared server and everyone access the server via GUI interface. There is a single operating system (Linux) shared by all the users. Each user has their own account.
The problem we found is that although each user can launch their own Zotero instance, only ONE Zotero instance can work with Zotero browser plugin.
Example:
User A open A's Zotero and Chrome.
Then User B open B's Zotero and Chrome. When User B click on Zotero Chrome plugin button, instead of B's Zotero library, A's Zotero library pops up. The document is saved to A's Zotero.
From what I understand, Zotero instance listen to a certain port for any connection from a browser plugin. Since there is one operating system, the ports are shared by all users on the machine, only one Zotero can work.
I guess Zotero Libre Office plugin will also suffer from this problem, but I haven't tested it.
Any idea how to address this issue to make Zotero usable on a shared server? Do we really have to separate the server side into different containers/VMs?
