Shortcut/Macro to Cite the Previously Cited Source Again

Hello!

Is there a Zotero keyboard shortcut in Word that will cite the last source that I cited, without having to search for it again in the search window?

I just switched from EndNote to Zotero and so far I am loving it. this is the ONLY thing that Endnote has that Zotero seems to lack.

Thanks very much for your help
Noel

  • Thanks dstillman, this is a helpful shortcut that I didn't know about before. It seems to to re-cite the source cited immediately above in my document. However what I'm really hoping for is something that will re-cite the last thing I cited, even if I did so in a different place in my document.

I ask because when I am using a source I often want to copy out chunks of text from it, and paste them in various places within my personal notes document. Each time
I paste a chunk of text I want to include a citation so that I will know where that chunk of text came from. In Endnote I could just hit Ctrl-2 every time and it would keep on inserting the same citation, no matter where I was pasting it inside my notes document. Do you by any chance know if Zotero has something like this?

Thanks again for your help; I really appreciate it!!
    Noel
  • You can also just copy and paste the citation in your document
