No connection to external server (NAS) when on location

I have connected my Zotero with my NAS server at home (via a WebDAV) in order to easily access/save pdf-files. Since I was mostly working from home this connection worked fine. However, now that I am in the office this doesn't work anymore and I can't access the files. Can anyone help me to restore the connection so I can access the files from anywhere?

    Meaning what, exactly?

    Can you provide a Debug ID for the operation that's not working?

    @dstillman
    I attach my pdf files in Zotero via links to my NAS. When I open them at home, it works fine. When I open them in the office, they keep loading.

    With the Debug Output Logging, I receive this error:

    [JavaScript Error: "dsXXXplay:XXXX uses an invalid security certificate.
    The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.
    The server might not be sending the appropriate intermediate certificates.
    An additional root certificate may need to be imported.
    The certificate is only valid for synology

    Error code: SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER
    "]
  • Is there a reason you didn't provide a Debug ID? Are network connections working for you in Zotero in general on this computer?

    For the above error, see https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/incomplete_cert_chain

    The fix will depend on the exact certificate configuration. From the error, this doesn't look like a self-signed certificate but rather a certificate chained to a custom CA, but it's not totally clear.

    If this is macOS or Linux and the other machine is Windows, it may be that you've installed a custom root certificate, which only the Windows build is currently above to use.
