LibreOffice - Zotero duplicates references within same footonote

Dear all,
My partner is trying to finish his PhD but this keeps happening:
His Zotero (Installed on LibreOffice on Mac) keeps duplicating references within the same footnote. Like this

How can he solve this problem ? We are really getting desperate !

    It would be best if the person experiencing the issue posted directly. This is likely caused by Zotero citations being stored as Bookmarks. Unless your partner needs to work with Word users, he should store them as Reference Marks. This setting is found in the Zotero toolbar in LibreOffice, under Document Preferences. The current issue is caused by corrupt bookmarks and the way to fix them either way would be to change citations to be stored as Reference Marks, and then if needed, to change the setting back to Bookmarks.

    Thank you so much for your reply! Unfortunately, all the references are stored as references marks, and not as bookmarks...

    Also, the first reference created by Zotero is unlinked, while the duplicate one is linked...
