Chicago to APA. Why the citations stay in the footnotes instead of being in the text?

Trying to switch my style from chicago to APA. The citation is correct...but it appears in the footnotes instead of being in the text. Please help

    That should work -- did you insert the Chicago citations in the text or did you create a Word footnote first? And these are footnotes, not endnotes, correct? (Endnotes don't convert properly for some reason)
