Zoterobib stops after 10 references, will only work after you delete your prior items.

It seems after 10 uses zoterobib stops working and requires you to delete 1 or more items from prior cites to work again. If for some reason you only want 10 it should be a rolling 10, so you never run into this issue.
  • Generally that's not the case, we've been testing with hundreds of items.

    Could you describe what exactly happens when you try to add 11th item?

    Close Chrome and reopen
  • Next open zbib.org and click delete all

    Goto https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/

    Search Kidney failure

    Open each (1-10) article and paste URL into zoterobib (zbib.org)
  • OK, I now get passed item 10, but only to 12, after clicking cite it put the info at the top but does not add it to the list below. So I see;

    Shen, Yanjue, Rongrong Cai, Jie Sun, Xue Dong, Rong Huang, Sai Tian, and Shaohua Wang. “Diabetes Mellitus as a Risk Factor for Incident Chronic Kidney Disease and End-Stage Renal Disease in Women Compared with Men: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.” Endocrine 55, no. 1 (January 2017): 66–76. https://doi.org/10.1007/s12020-016-1014-6.
  • But it is not added to the list below which now will not increase over 12 items.

  • Any help is appreciated. I could make a video, but hopefully the text above is OK.
  • Yes, a video would be helpful.

    OK, after checking this a few times and sending it to someone else (who was also confused), I just figured out the results are in alphabetical order. So human error (mine!), so this error is resolved and now becomes a question is there any way to put the results in order of entry?

    ZoteroBib shows you the actual bibliography entries for the style you’ve selected, in order. You’ve selected a style that sorts the bibliography alphabetically (as most do), and so that’s the order it uses.

    If you want something based on insertion order, you’ll want to use Zotero and one of the word processor plugins, where a bibliography can be based on the actual order of citations in a document, rather than ZoteroBib.

    We have an open ticket to add manual reordering to ZoteroBib for numeric styles that use insertion order, but it's not possible currently.
  • Just to note, we've now added manual reordering for numeric styles (e.g., IEEE) to ZoteroBib.
