Finding the data syncing window to set up syncing
Obvious, right? I cannot see how to do this. I have two books on Zotero and I am determined to figure this out (but help is very appreciated).

dstillman Zotero TeamIt's just the Sync pane of the preferences.

TiffanyClarkThanks for responding. I have a toolbar that displays Home, Web Library, Groups, Documentation, Forums and Get Involved. I don't see Preferences or Edit-Preferences (Syncing or Cite either). Sigh...

dstillman Zotero Teamedited June 26, 2022You're looking at the Zotero website, not the Zotero app on your computer.

TiffanyClarkThanks!! I found the toolbar with cite and sync (no preferences, but maybe that disappeared with the new version?). Excited for the progress. Thanks again, dstillman.

dstillman Zotero Teamedited June 26, 2022I'm not sure what you mean by that. Cite and Sync are tabs in the preferences of the Zotero app. This is all shown in the screenshots on the documentation pages linked above.

TiffanyClarkOK, thanks. I'll try to make sense of that tomorrow :). When I closed the website (was signed in so thought it was the app) after your first suggestion I saw on my screen a small box with the toolbar that included cite and sync (and search, general, advanced). The rest of the functionality wasn't there (including anything that said preferences). I played around with Zotero in early 2020 and built a library but deleted it earlier today to download the new version and planned to start tinkering with that.
