Zotero deleted my word documents. (Or at least went to the first version of them.)
I was writing my semester paper for one of my classes. I had used Zotero before on my previous laptop, but hadn't yet downloaded on my new one. Someone mentioned it to me the other day and I was having trouble with citations so I downloaded it again. Once I downloaded it, it asked me to quit word so it could install onto it. So I went and saved all my documents and drafts. When I closed the document it popped up again asking me to save again. I did. This went on like 5 times before I clicked don't save because I now thought it was a bug. After I reopened the documents one of them had gone back to the version from Sunday night, which was just an outline. And the other where I had like 6 pages (which seems short but its a political science paper with a lot of research involved.), but it opened up as blank. I have trying for the past 3 hours to recover my files, doing every tutorial about recovering word files online, I've called apple, I (hopefully) have a meeting scheduled with Microsoft tomorrow. This seems like a bit of a reach, but because it was caused by Zotero in the first place, I'm hoping that there is a way for me to recover my files. What should I do?

dstillmanZotero doesn't have anything to do with saving documents in Word.
