Can't highlight text on some PDFs.

As the title says so. Also, those same PDFs doesn't become searchable.

I hope you can assist me or fix it as soon as possible.

    If you provide a link to such a PDF or email one to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread, we could say more, but some PDFs just don't have a text layer.

    But I understand what you mean. Could you add a tool to highlight or underline the text in this kind of PDFs, that also follows a not straight path to be able to follow the inclined text? I think I can use the "select area" tool in the mean time.

    Yes, the PDF file doesn't have a text layer. In theory, it should be possible to re-OCR it, but we can't help with that.

    And yes, "Select Area" tool is the only option here.
