Word ribbon not showing

None of the fixes posted in the FAQ worked. I finally got the ribbon back in Word by going to Options-->Add-ins, and using the drop-down menu to enable the template add-in that I had manually installed. Need to do this every time I open word. Seems to have become a problem with the last Zotero update. Any faster way around this problem than the one I've found?

    Note that making sure Zotero.dotm is checked in the Templates and Add-ins window, if that's what you're referring to, is indeed in the troubleshooting instructions.

    The Word plugin is just a standard Word template like any other. If it's not staying installed for you, that's a problem with your Word installation. If this is a work computer, talk to your IT department.

    Ok, thanks; I have a ticket in with IT, because Word is automatically deactivating it even with all the Trust Center settings adjusted.
