Zotero Word Plugin and Google docs plugin not working on M1 Mac

I recently purchased a new MacBook Air M1. I have installed Zotero and synced my library. I can see the Zotero word plugin in word and in Google Docs as well but when I add/edit citation or use any other commands in the word connector like insert bibliography the screen greys out and nothing happens. There is no window at the back of the window etc.

    I am using Word 16.60 and have tried google docs in safari and chrome both.

    Could you submit a Report ID? Word and Google Docs not working are separate bugs. We'll have to debug one at the time. For Word, first restart your computer, then run Zotero, and then run Word. Does it still freeze?
