Problem with the installation of the ZoteroLibreOffice plugin

Error report 1806364172

When installing Zotero (standard installation, all parameters by default including the application path: C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program\unopkg.exe), an error occurs. I can't find what the problem is.

When trying the Manual Installation, the following error message appears: "Could not create Java implementation loader". I don't know what that means and I'm supposed to do.
  • I have the same problem, however this is my error message when I do a manual installation:

    (com.sun.star.uno.RuntimeException) { { Message = "C++ code threw N10jfw_plugin25MalformedVersionExceptionE: std::exception", Context = (com.sun.star.uno.XInterface) @0 } }

    Fresh installation of Libreoffice 7.2.6.2, zotero 6.0.4, openjdk 11.0.14.1
  • Not much we can do to help here. It's a LibreOffice issue. If the plugin runtime in LibreOffice is broken then no plugins, including Zotero will work there. I recommend trying different versions of LibreOffice and JDK. Make sure you select the JDK in LO options if you get a different version before testing. Otherwise you will need to seek help with their support.
  • @adomasven You said "Not much we can do to help here". Well, that's not true, you did solve my problem by putting me on the right track! It didn't occur to me that I was using a really old jdk. I installed a more recent version of openjdk (going from openjdk11 to openjdk17), I made sure that the opejdk17 was selected in LO in preferences/advanced and this time the installation of the plug in was fine. Thank you, I really appreciate your help.
