GUI bug 6.0.4 Windows - 'Journal Article' option missing

Per title, when clicking the New Item green plus button and navigating to choose an item type, 'Journal Article' does not appear on the menu. The option is still available from the Item Type dropdown within a record's Info pane, and DOI-based 'magic wand' additions are unaffected.

    Check to be sure that you didn't miss it in the top five recently used item types at the top of the menu, right under the green plus button.

    Already checked, its in neither location.

    OK, interesting. Could you go to the Zotero Preferences -> Advanced -> Config Editor, search for newItemTypeMRU, and post what it says under "Value"?

    Separately, do you have any third-party plugins enabled in Zotero?

    Sure - it says 'book,manuscript,report,thesis,map'. A couple of those items were repeating themselves in the More... menu, but not all.

    Interestingly, restarting the app fixed the error, and I can confirm that it was only happening on a single machine. I guess the two lists got out of sync somehow? Its nice to know there's an easy fix, but recurrence still seems possible.
