Zotero for Google Docs: how to open link to paper?
I am happily using the Google Doc plugin for Zotero, but I do not understand how it works beyond simply adding a reference to the document. I explain: if I click on a citation, I would expect to be redirected to either the local paper or to a website... But if I click on any of my citations, I simply get redirected to the Zotero website. Is this behavior expected? Thank you.

adamsmithYes it is. Zotero doesn't hyperlink citations, at all. The links inserted in Google docs are simply a way for Zotero to store reference-related information.

dstillmanedited March 26, 2022@lfabbri92: Well, to be clear, you shouldn't see that link at all as long as you have the latest version of the Zotero Connector installed. (There was a recent site change in Google Docs that caused the link to appear again, but that should be fixed.) With the Zotero Connector installed, the popup is changed to "Edit with Zotero", and you should unlink citations before submitting the document.

lfabbri92@dstillman Okay, I see. But when I make a copy, unlink the citations and export to PDF, I still cannot click on the citations as I can do with published scientific papers. I would like to at least jump to the corresponding reference at the end of the document (Bibliography section)...
