Changing reference formatting after journal returned draft in new template

Currently, I have superscripts. The journal I submitted to wants it instead in brackets and returned the draft for revision in a word doc template. What is the best way to re-do citations (as i had to add/delete some) and the references to the format they request without doing it manually? I included the details provided to me from the journal below. Thanks in advance!

Details from journal:
Include the digital object identifier (DOI) for all references where available.
In the text, reference numbers should be placed in square brackets [ ] and placed before the punctuation; for example [1], [1–3] or [1,3]. For embedded citations in the text with pagination, use both parentheses and brackets to indicate the reference num-ber and page numbers; for example [5] (p. 10), or [6] (pp. 101–105).
