How to change the default Launch Application for URI attachment in Macbook?

edited March 27, 2022
I use plugin “Notero” to sync items between monitored collections and Notion database.

The plugin “Notero” will add an URI attachment to the Zotero item that links to the page in Notion.(Format: notion://www.notion.so/2022-pdf-9c312a54191b46c)

When I double click the URI attachment in the first time, Zotero reminded me of choosing an application to open it, then I choosed Chrome.

I want to change the default Launch Application to Notion now, but I don't know how to do that.
  • (You don’t need to put a bunch of stars in the title to get an answer here.)

That prompt was shown by your operating system, not Zotero. You can change your preferences in your operating system’s settings. Instructions for Windows are here.
  • @XavierHaxman: Don't use a spammy title like that again or you'll be blocked from posting here.

Based on the screenshot it looks like this is a Zotero dialog. See the part about mimeTypes.rdf on File Handling Issues for a way to reset these.

I am very sorry for that, I won't use title like that in the next time.

    Hi, thanks for your help.

Actually, I'am using Zotero in Macbook Air M1.
I can't find the URI attachment in Finder so I can't change the default launch application for it.

Fortunately, I find a way to reset the launch application by uninstalling the Zotero APP and clearing it Cache using CleanMyMac.
