Upgrade StoragePDF reader: Figure rendering issues (zotero 6.0.2)

Figures in the zotero PDF reader are not rendered like other PDF readers. Some color blocks are stripped.
A reproducible example is Figure 4 in 10.1109/SC.2000.10015 (DOI).
Using Adobe PDF reader or Edge, all three slices in this figure are rendered as color blocks. With zotero PDF reader, they are strips.

martynas_bIn Preview.app (on macOS) there also are very similar strips. I doubt this can be easily fixed.
