Changes in 6.0 (March 17, 2022): super slow

Dear,

I have just updated Zotero and it causes a problem of super slow running.
I use macOS version 10.13.6.
Any thoughts on improving this issue?

Can you say more about what exactly is slow? Is something using CPU in Activity Monitor?

Have you tried restarting your computer?

Yes, I restarted my computer. It took a very long time to respond to the mouse pointer. Sometimes Zotero even freezes.

My Zotero was automatically updated this morning. With this new update, now pdf references can be opened in Zotero. I am not sure if it causes this slowness? Before the update, pdf references are opened separately in Acrobat.

Before the update, my Zotero runs smoothly.

Hi dstillman, I don't know how to check the use of CPU in Activity Monitor and I don't know what does it mean.

In addition to info from Activity Monitor, we'd also want to see a Debug ID for a minute of usage while Zotero is slow.

Thanks, guys, for helping me out. Since I open Activity Monitor, I deleted some functions that I wasn't using. Zotero runs smoothly.

Could we see a Debug ID for one specific operation that's slow, with an explanation of exactly what you were doing and how long it took?
