latest Zotero update - can't see how to edit code (HTML) of notes

Kia ora rā koutou; hello from Aotearoa New Zealand. I'm missing a couple of things in the latest update - one is that I can no longer see how to get in and edit the HTML in the notes (standalone or added to items). I think it used to be a rightclick in the body of the note. I use that feature a lot so would appreciate any advice!
  • The notes aren't HTML anymore, so no more HTML editor. What did you need/use this for?
  • I used it all the time, just to have the formatting of the note reflect the way I wanted to organise the information. Probably I mainly used it to
    - replace paragraph breaks with line breaks, or vice versa
    - remove formatting from text that I'd copied and pasted in (if I hadn't put it through a text editor on the way)
    - remove fragment tags that did weird things to the formatting & even the visibility of the text sometimes
  • - replace paragraph breaks with line breaks, or vice versa
    Return vs. Shift-Return
remove formatting from text that I'd copied and pasted in (if I hadn't put it through a text editor on the way)
No reason to dig into HTML source for that. We can consider an option to strip formatting from selected text.
remove fragment tags that did weird things to the formatting & even the visibility of the text sometimes
Shouldn't happen in the new editor, which just doesn't support various things that would cause problems in the old editor. (Needless to say, end users shouldn't need to dig into source code to keep text visible.)
  • thanks - I'll try that out! appreciate your advice
