DOI for reports

We have many reports and other items that have a DOI. However, Zotero does not let me enter a DOI for a PDF report. Why is the DOI field missing for many types of entries where DOIs are increasingly used?

    Fields haven't been updated in many years for technical reasons, but they will be soon, and DOI will be added to all types. For now, you can just put "DOI: 10.1234/abcd" in the Extra field.

    If you put the DOI in the Extra field like above, that will appear in citations and will be automatically migrated when a proper field is added
