Cannot copy/paste annotations (Zotero 6 beta)

Hi @dstillman, from the other thread:

On the left panel, in the PDF editor, when I right-click on a note (or use the overflow), I get 'add to note', colours, 'edit page number', 'edit highlighted text', 'delete'. Should there be an export there?
@bjohas: Just select the annotation and press Cmd/Ctrl-C, or use Edit → Copy, or drag to a text field.

For me (latest beta, on Ubuntu 20.04), copying or dragging into libreoffice doesn't work. Is there anything I can try?
  • Do you get the highlighted text if you do Cmd/Ctrl-C and paste it into any other text editor?
  • @bjohas: It should be the same as Quick Copy for regular items in the library view. On 20.04, I get raw HTML for both when dragging to LibreOffice 6.4, which I think other people have reported before and is outside of our control. Ctrl-Shift-C (items) and Ctrl-C (annotations) and pasting into LO works for me. Not sure whether LO 7.3 is any different there.

(Both work the same to LibreOffice on macOS.)
  • Hi both, thank you for comments. Just to show what I am trying to do:

  • Can you provide a Debug ID?
  • I started Zotero, used both ctrl-c and copy from the menu (on an annotation). Debug id: D2078866669.

    Thank you!
