"View PDF" does not open the linked file

Hi,

First of all, forgive me if I use wrong terminology but I am not en expert in those parts. Also, I am not sure if I misunderstand something or there is issues with Zotero.

I have installed Manjaro. I work with Okular as a default PDF viewer. I would also like this application to open pdfs in Zotero via "View PDF". Currently, it does nothing.

I went through settings and found Default Applications in GNOME which is sort of file extension manager. I set Okular as a default application for pdfs, that is as understand correctly, its application/pdf MIME Type is set to Okular.

I double click PDFs in file explorer and Okular opens the files without a problem. In Zotero, I'd expected "View PDF" would also select Okular to open a pdf but nothing happens.

    See https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/file_handling_issues for changing the OS default — Linux is a mess in this area, so you'd have to play around with it.

    But you can also just set your reader of choice explicitly in the General pane of the preferences.

    I came back a little late with a response to make sure I checked everything. It's working on Ubuntu but not on Manjaro. I guess the issue is on a system-end, --Thanks
