Newbie help - APA 7th edition website references and no hanging indentation on refs
Hi everyone, I've noticed websites are rendering incorrectly in the references. Specifically, Zotero is italicizing what should be the author. As a test I went to Zotero.org and captured that as a reference. When I create a bibliography in APA 7, "Zotero | Your personal research assistant" in rendered in italics (I figured if there's metadata associated with a website that Zotero is sucking in, the horse's mouth would have it set up correctly). What I gather from this is that, Zotero absolutely will not populate the fields in such a way that will lead to a correct APA formatted reference. You must manually edit websites as follows (using the Zotero home page as an example):
Title: Zotero | your personal research assistant (note that your is now lower case)
Author last: Zotero
Author first: (leave blank)
Date: If the web page has a date, enter that here, otherwise leave blank so n.d. appears
Accessed: delete anything in this field unless you're identifying the link as something that frequently changes like a link to a Twitter profile (when you fill out this field it will add "Retrieved [date], from [website]
Does that sound correct?
[RESOLVED] (see separate comment) Also, before when I used to refresh my references (with APA 7th edition selected) the 0.5" hanging indentation formatting would be persistent. Now it blows that formatting away every time I hit refresh and I have to go in manually and format the hanging indent. What am I doing wrong here?

shewhornOkay, I seem to have resolved the hanging indent formatting issue. I added back APA version 6, switched to that, refreshed, than switched back to the 7th edition, refreshed, and voila! Working as it used to.

bwiernikSometimes Word messes up the paragraph formatting of the bibliography. Like you found, you can fix that by switching to any other style and then switching back to re-apply the style paragraph formatting
