Sync error. Report #1249580226

edited February 28, 2022
A file sync error keeps occurring. It asked me to try syncing again, which I've done, restarting Zotero, which I've done. Can anyone help me sort? Thank you so much.

The report reads:

Files above 4 GB are not currently supported"]

[JavaScript Error: "Unexpected status code 400 in Zotero.Sync.Storage.ZFS._getFileUploadParameters() (1/GU6ADMQ4)"]

[JavaScript Error: "Upload request 1/GU6ADMQ4 failed"]

[JavaScript Error: "A file sync error occurred. Please try syncing again.

If you receive this message repeatedly, restart Zotero and/or your computer and try again. If you continue to receive the message, submit an error report and post the Report ID to a new thread in the Zotero Forums." {file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/storage/zfs.js" line: 462}]

  • It looks like you have a couple extremely large files that are too big to sync. Paste GU6ADMQ4 and EYZP98X9 into the search bar in All Fields & Tags mode, delete those attachments, and empty the trash.
  • Thanks dstillman. I'll give it a go. Most appreciated.

One quick question - would you by any chance know what the file size limit is? It would be useful to bear that in mind for future reference.

Thank you so much for your help.
  • That's lovely. Many thanks. Duly noted. Enjoy the rest of the evening.
