extraction of references from reference list in paper

Is there any way to extract a zotero bibliography from the list of references in PDF version of a paper? Or from online html version. Given that this is a relatively new paper, all the citations have links and DOIs.

If it's an online HTML, you can right-click on "Save to Zotero" button and select Save to Zotero (DOI), then select all items.

If that doesn't work, https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/importing_formatted_bibliographies but that's less reliable.
