This endpoint supports POST requests only!!

Using Firefox 91.5, Zotero Connector 5.0.92, and Windows 10.0.19044

Getting "This endpoint supports POST requests only!!" error after logging in through our SAML-based authentication system to one particular vendor's website.

Turning off Zotero Connector solves the problem. Vendor doesn't know what's happening.

Anyone have any ideas?

    @CandaceL:

    (Sorry, I misread your post originally.)

    If you right-click on the Save to Zotero button, select Preferences/Options, go to the Proxies tab, and uncheck "Enable proxy redirection", does this still happen? If not, is the site listed in the Hostnames section at the bottom after clicking on the entry for your proxy server under Configured Proxies?
  • @dstillman,

    Thank you!

    When I unchecked "enable proxy redirection" I was able to access the resource even with the Zotero Connector enabled.

    I then checked "enabled proxy redirection" and found listed in the hostnames for the proxy an entry for our authentication system. I deleted it and now I can access the needed website while using the Zotero Connector in Firefox and I no longer get the POST error message.
  • OK, great. Sorry for the trouble.

    Would you mind sending the hostname entry for your authentication system to us at support@zotero.org, with a link to this thread? We may be able to block such entries from ever appearing.
  • @CandaceL: Just before this gets forgotten, we'd love to fix this so that others don't run into it, so if you remember what the entry was that you deleted and are able to let us know what it was via email, we'd really appreciate it.
