Sharing documents from Zotero with team members
Hello,
I am new to Zotero and would very much appreciate your help. I have exported documents to Zotero, but know I need to share them with my a colleague or colleagues on my time. How can I share/send these documents from Zotero to my team members? Is there is a way to copy and paste from Zotero or to send/export the docments to a colleague?
Thank you very much in advance for your help.
Phillip

... exported documents to Zotero...
Do you mean that you imported pdf documents that are associated with your Zotero records and you want to send copies of the pdf files to someone? Do you mean that you have used Zotero to add citations to a word processor document and want a colleague to read/review your work-in-progress?
...I need to share them with my colleague...
The best way to share things depends upon the answers to my questions above.
If your colleague(s) also use Zotero you can share your library and attached files using Zotero's Group function.
https://www.zotero.org/support/groups
If your colleague(s) do not use Zotero and you want to share manuscripts that you created; _do NOT_ share your work-in-progress document. Instead save a version of your document, keep your work-in-progress document, remove Zotero field codes from the copy, and then share the copy. Better yet, make a pdf version of the copy and send that. If you send your working document any of several things can cause your Zotero citations to be damaged before your document is returned to you.
If you want to actively collaborate with a Zotero-using colleague on authoring a document (that you pass back-and-forth) you can use Zotero's Groups. This is more complicated than I can write about here. Read the link above about groups.
Still can't solve this problem. To clarify what I need exactly:
I did a literature search on a database (Medline) and got a list of studies/citations that then exported to Zotero. So I now have this list of documents in Zotero. Now, I want to sent this list to colleague (s) so they can take a look at the documents and give me feedback. So my question is: How can I send these studies/citations from Zotero to my colleague (s)? Is there is a way I can send these documents to my colleague (s). Thank you very much in advance for your help?
I tried exporting the documents from Zotero and send them to my coleagues (s), but my colleaques can't open the documents. My colleague is not using Zotero on their computer.
Thank you very much in advance for your help
It seems to me that you want to create a "report":
Select the items that you want to send to your colleague. Right click on the selected items. From the resulting menu select "Generate Report from Items." This will produce a screen report with all of the information contained in each record. You can then select all (everything on the report screen), copy and paste it into the word processor of your choice. Formatting should be saved when you paste.
Alternately, you can produce a bibliography in the style (APA, Chicago, Vancouver, etc) you prefer. This will not provide the abstracts (unless you do a few things that are less straightforward than mentioned above).
