im having the same issue and i tried un stallign and then re intsalling and it did nothing.

i dont know how to find this... all that happens when i try and insert a citation is a pop up that says " Zotero integration error, zotero experienced an erroe updating your document, would you like to view troubleshooting instructions". this happens on new documents and older documents.

The instructions are for providing a Report ID, which we need in order to help you.
