Metrics?

Hi all,

I am maintaining a Zotero library, redirected through a Google domain (http://transplantid.net)

Anyone have any ideas about how to get any metrics? Number of visitors or anything like that? Geography of people who accessed? Either through Zotero or Google domains?

I guess if I had a real programmer who could use the application programming interface we could create a local web page which accessed it in our own way? Just don't have access to one.

Any ideas appreciated!
  • I know Zotero doesn't provide metrics for libraries, so if this is possible, it'd be through google
  • Thanks, thought so.

Presumably an actual web programmer could create a web page with metrics which then accessed the Zotero library via the API?
  • Oh yes. You can even just use WordPress with Zotpress installed. WordPress has built in metrics and you could add Google analytics or the like for more detailed options
  • Thanks! I can't tell by browsing -- how much work is it to get Zotpress to work? Cant find an example for dummies.

Honestly I wouldn't mind something that looked a lot like the default Zotero look, on a WordPress page.

Is there an example where the entire bibliography can be browsed/searched via Zotpress? With links?

I found one that might be a reasonable template with all of the collections on one side:

Is there a way to make it searchable?

(I'm not yet ready to shell out the $300 for the professional WordPress yet until I have a sense about whether I can do what I need.)

    Thanks!
