Zotero installation process - issues
Hi there,
I've had some problems installing Zotero for end users.
Launching the installer will prompt for local admin credentials, and after entering them it will complete the installation and try to launch Zotero which results in an error (Firefox: Couldn't load XPCOM).
I've then uninstalled Zotero and reinstalled it but this time running the installer as administrator from the beginning, after it had completed Zotero launched automatically without issue. However after closing zotero and reopening it (as the user) the same error will occur again.
In the end I found out that I must install Zotero as the user which will be launching it, but that requires the user to be a local administrator. So I've been adding the user to the local admin group, installing Zotero and then removing them from the local admin group. Zotero will then work fine whenever launched by that user, but any other user trying to launch Zotero on this computer will receive the error message.
Just wondering if there's something I'm doing wrong or if there's any fix for this strange problem?
Thanks

@adamsmith Interesting to know, I've just tried installing this as the user by cancelling the admin prompt. It's now installed under the userprofile without any problems. If another user needs this software on the same PC, It can be installed under their profile as well using the same method so that's great. Thanks!
