RSS Superpowers?

I recently discovered the RSS feature on Zotero. I just tried it out and from what I can tell its function is to provide some preliminary citation data, a url, and a library save option. I do not see anything else? Adding directly to the library is the same as clicking on the url then saving via the connector. If a pdf is desired that still needs to be done from the web browser I do not see any way to convert it directly from here. So it would seem the only reason zotero has the rss feed is for a matter of convenience to keep subscribed threads on the same app. I don't see any other superpowers here that a regular rss reader cannot accomplish, or am I overlooking something?
  • Not only to keep subscribed threads together but to automate the import of selected RSS items into the library collection of your choice.
  • I didn't notice that option I can see the value in that thanks.
