Zotero is quite slow especially when trying to merge files and/or change info

I do use quite a lot of plugins and have tried to disable them one-by-one.

When trying to change info of zotero files, or merge/select multiple, I experience serious lags with Zotero being non-responsive for a couple of seconds. It doesn't seem that Task Manager is overloaded at those times. It is quite unworkable for me to do a basic search or clean up the library.

Any suggestions?

    Also, I do not experience major issues when trying to use the web library.

    1892, so far from large, by people's standards.

    1) Not sure where you got that number — you seem to have thousands more items than that, though not enough to make much of a difference.

    2) Whenever you have a problem like this, you should start by disabling all your third-party plugins to see if the problem goes away — don't disable them one by one. There's a huge amount of output here from BBT auto-export, so that's likely the problem.

    If you're still having trouble after that, we'd need a Debug ID for an operation that's slow without any third-party plugins enabled.

    BBT seems to be causing problems. Changed from back-up on idle to back-up on change. The problem seems to be resolved.
