Change DATE format from US to UK/Aus

PLEASE HELP me - this should be simple - changing the date formatting to dd/mm/yyyy as opposed to mm/dd/yyyy - I have a totally freshly installed latest version of beta zotero - with only one item in it (i cleared out my old install) and no matter what I've tried - the date format stubbornly remains at mm/dd/yyyy

PLEASE someone - can you tell me how to change that?
THanks
Lily
  • The date format where exactly? In Zotero, that'd be determined by the client language set under Advanced/General. That would apply to accessed, date added, and date modified, but not to date, which is displayed as entered.

For citations, the date is determined by the citation style.
  • OMG adamsmith - THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! I don't know how it changed? I didn't alter it - but nonetheless - that is so OBVIOUS - I'm almost embarassed that I didn't go looking .... - although it is a little misleading that it doesn't specify English (US) - but ALL GOOD
    SO appreciate your response
