Upgrade StorageApp changes names of authors

The app (5.0.97-beta.49+9432cb7e7, macOS Big Sur 11.6) has been recently behaving erratically. I was manually filling in missing bibliographical data, when I noticed the following thing: Several times the app copied the name of the author I had just inserted, and pasted it to the previous entry (replacing the name I had inserted a few minutes earlier). It seems to happen quite randomly (1-2 times out of 10 cases), but practically during every session – even after I restart the app. Sometimes, it also switches back "Editors" to "Authors".
Any idea, what might be wrong? I have quite a big library, migrated from Bookends. Please advise. – D2124841208

At 1:12 I start working on the item Natural Disasters... (note the entry: Chodějovská | 2020 | Krajina). When I finish (at 2:46) the name of Chodějovská has been replaced with Mauch. It seems the error is triggered only when I change "Authors" to "Editors".
