bold citations

I am using APA and sometimes zotero bolds the citations when I am inserting them into the text. (Smith, 1992) is bold. How do i fix that?

    that has nothing to do with APA - which has no bold formatting anywhere - probably the Word style (formatting) of the sentence/paragraph or whatever you're inserting the citation into is bold.

    Thank you Adam, I played around with word and found a way to get rid of it!

    I am having the same issue. I have to un-bold each citation one at a time. Is there a way to prevent this from happening in the first place?

    You have the paragraph style in Word set to have bold text. Edit the paragraph style to be non-bold.
