Zotero is not copying refs correctly and bibliography is wrong for AGLC4

I am new to using Zotero - when I save an item sometimes I get two copies - bibliography is incorrect (journal article surname and first name not inverted).
Lodged a report online and was told to submit to the forum. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am using Zotero connector but there appear to be pages full of report errors?? no idea why. Thank you in advance

We need the exact steps you're taking and exactly what's happening — Step 2 on the Reporting Problems page. You only provided the Report ID.
  • Thanks for the reply,
I open Zotero and my Word Doc
When I get a journal article or case I want to enter from Google Chrome the icon does not always change to the correct (scales for case etc.,)
Most times there is a light blue page icon and when I click on that it says: Saving to Zotero with a snapshot – there is a drop down box that allows me to select which folder/library I want to save the item.
Most times I resort to adding the item manually as the Zotero connector does not capture all the data
The reason I provided the report ID was I assumed the report was viewable to Zotero and appears to be pages long.
The Bibliography does not invert the first and last names

I hope this clarifies my situation.

    Trish
  • Read through Zotero Translators so you understand better how this works. The blue webpage icon is perfectly normal on sites that don't provide high-quality metadata and/or Zotero hasn't been made to support. Zotero will save high-quality data from more far sites than any other similar tool, but you absolutely shouldn't expect to never need to enter data manually.

If it's not saving data from somewhere you expect it, we'd need an example URL. If it's happening everywhere, see Troubleshooting Problems Saving to Zotero.
