5) You would indeed need to redefine one of the terms. See http://www.zotero.org/styles/mhra_note_without_bibliography to see an example of how this is done. In your case the terms-element will look like (assuming your locale is English):
Thanks very much Rintze, my locale is English but there seems to be very little in the terms section that I have, it didn't seem that similar to the example above, to me anyway. I will keep trying but think I might have to wait to see what Adam comes back with, this one and the final fix seem a bit too tricky for me. Thanks again anyway.

Thanks a lot for that. I have to say I am really impressed with you guys, the forum and Zotero itself. It has basically sorted out all bibliographic issues for my PhD. I'm not coming down in cash, but I will definitely make a donation to the site, and have already started recommending Zotero to everyone I know. How many people are going to use exactly this style? Is there a name (and even if it's just your University/Department) we could put on it to add it to the repository?
It has potentially very widespread use, certainly not just my university. For instance, all my fellow archaeologists from archaeology dept.s across Britain and Ireland would use something very close to this and many from other European countries also. The issue is the name; though almost all archaeologists in Europe especially those dealing with prehistory use a style similar to this, there is a tendency to individualistic tweaks of this style. For example, all of the five journal styles that I posted were very similar to this: Harvard tweaks, close to Harvard format 1 or 2, and crucially sorting by 'author' then 'date' instead of 'title'.
So perhaps if it was titled something like 'Harvard author-date general - european archaeology' this might work (if that isn't too long-winded). Then archaeologists could use it as is, or as by far the best available template for them if they wanted to make one or two individual tweaks.
Spotted one sneaky fault with that style before you upload it. With multiple authors there is a missing comma after the second author. In the example below it should be 'Armstrong, E.,'.
