How to manage inserted citations in manuscript

(Sorry for my bad English)

I've just migrated to Zotero from Endnote
In Endnote I can easily manage and edit all the citations that inserted in a docx file, I can list all this citations in a dialog box and rearrange them.
While in Zotero I have not found such function, I can only get to know how many citations been inserted from the bibliography. If I want to move citations, I am afraid I have to delete them and re-insert.
Is there any solution or add-on to fix this?
Thank you very much.
  • What do you mean by "move citations"? You can just cut and paste Zotero citations within your document.

The ability to see the items cited in an open document from within Zotero is planned, but that wouldn't have anything to do with "rearranging" them.

    Thank you for your reply.
Just like this picture, you can click up and down arrows to "rearrange" referencs shown in one "citation" position

Oh, you mean reorder within a given citation? In Zotero, you click the citation in your word processor that you want to change, click Add/Edit Citation, and drag the blue bubbles around to reorder the items.

If you are in a cite bubble with several citation in it, you can click and drag them around and it will then be reflect in your in-text citation.

Note though that many citation styles have sorting activated (e.g. chronologically or alphabetically) and sort them on purpose.
  • Thank you very much!
I didn't expect that those bubbles can be dragged.
That is a very useful skill
