add item(s) by identifier does not work

Hi,

I recently set up my zotero account on a standalone (version 5.0.60 ) on a desktop at work. Everything works fine, apart from the identifier when I try to add via an ISBN. However, it works fine when I add references via a DOI.

This problem seems to be related to the standalone on this particular device, as I do not have the problem on the standalone I use on my laptop.

Any suggestions on how to tackle this?

    Is this an issue with all ISBNs you've tried? Could you give some example ISBNs that give you this problem?

    The one I tried to add first as the problem appeared: 9780674737563

    Some random checks from books in my field:

    -9780300187496 (failed)
    -9789089643773 (failed)
    -9782021137040 (failed)

    If you really mean 5.0.60, that's 2.5 years old, and we can't provide any support for that. You'll need to install a current version.

    Those ISBNs work fine for me.

    Thanks for pointing this out. The updating of the standalone was slightly more complicated due to the fact that my university does not provide me with administrator rights to run updates automatically or by myself, but I was just able to update to 5.0.88. The ISBN issue seems to be solved with that. Many thanks!

    5.0.88 isn’t current either.
