drop-down menus aren't visible

When I hover over an item or icon, a box appears but nothing is showing in the box. If I move my cursor over the blank box, lines will be highlighted as I move over the box but no words appear. For example if I click on the green + icon, an empty box appears.

    What OS? Can you provide a Report ID?

    Can you take a screenshot that shows this, upload it somewhere (e.g., Dropbox or Google Drive), and provide a link here?

    I updated my Zotero and it seems to work now. Had trouble recently updating it - error messages that if failed. Not sure why, but i was able to update to 5.0.9.62. I'm using Big Sur 11.4.

    OK, yes, if you were using an old version from before last fall, it wouldn't work properly on Big Sur.
