A Problem with Importation of the RIS Format

Hi,
It seems that my Zotero doesn't recognize RIS format anymore. I can't import new references into my library from WorldCat UQÀM and other sites. I work with Mac OS.13.6 and Google Chrome. I tried from my computer and from the web and both ways said that the RIS format isn't recognized.
I checked I have the latest version of Zotero and the Google Chrome Connector.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks,
  • Could you open one of the RIS files in question with a text editor (like Notepad or TextEdit) and paste it here?
  • Does Zotero now recognize a file with an extension filename.ris.txt as RIS? Do I remember correctly that some versions of High Sierra automatically appended ".txt" to text files? I definitely recall, a few years ago, needing to jump through hoops to rename ".ris.txt" files to be ".ris".
  • Zotero would import a .txt file with valid RIS if you use the "Import" option, yes.

And my repport number is 1170573037
  • OK, and just to make sure, if you select and copy the RIS you just pasted and then use "Import from Clipboard" in Zotero, that doesn't work either? If it doesn't, try resetting translators from the Advanced tab of the Zotero preferences.
  • @adamsmith It doesn't work for the Clipboard and I just updated the translators in the advance parameters and it still doesn't work.
