Saving Locally with the chrome extension

So, I've hit my 300MB cap without reaching anywhere near the number of documents I need and I can't "Send to Zotero" anymore. I don't care about the online storage at all, and am wondering if there's a way to set it to store locally while still using the plugin, or similar? Or manually get everything to back-up locally then purge the online library? I put a lot of work into getting the info accurate and wouldn't want to accidentally delete it.
  • The default is to save locally -- are you sure that's not already the case?
If you have a local software "Zotero" everything is local and the storage gets populated only via sync (which you can turn off entirely or turn off for attachments only)
If you don't have Zotero installed locally, do so now, sync, and the the connector will save locally whenever it's open.
  • Oh, excellent! I do see the files in the folder if I do a trackback. I've disabled sync, and it's working perfectly now, thank you!
  • To be clear, you don't have to disable syncing altogether. The storage quota is solely for files, not data.
