synching trouble

Cannot synch - have tried the troubleshooting methods suggested, including restore function. Keep getting message "Empty response from server"

Exactly the same. When I verify the server through the preferences it even confirms that the file server is set up, but seems to give up when actually trying to sync.

Seems to be that the Zotero synching functionality is down (not the file server synching, but the synching with Zotero's servers).....
