Modifying citation style
Hello!
I'm currently using the Chicago 17th ed (author-date) citation style, which cites sources in the (author date) format [no punctuation between author and date]. I need it so that there is a comma between author and date (author, date). I read up on some other forums and I think I have to modify the delimiter but I can't tell which one that would be when I open the Style Editor.
(According to publisher, citation style must be Chicago).
Swift assistance would be so greatly appreciated!
Pam

johnmyYou could try https://editor.citationstyles.org/visualEditor/ and A Step-by-Step Guide of editing style could be found https://www.zotero.org/support/dev/citation_styles/style_editing_step-by-step.

adamsmithAre you sure you're using Chicago (author-date) in the text? Chicago in-text citations do have a comma, i.e. (Smith, 1776). If you don't see that, you likely have a different style (APA?) selected. Note that you switch styles in a document under "Document preferences" in the Zotero toolbar in Word, not in the Zotero preferences under styles.
