iPad Beta: Warning... note is too long

When I try and sync a PDF I get the following error message:

Any ideas what to do? TIA.

    Can you provide a Debug ID for a sync that produces that?

    If you then click "Show Item in Library" (after switching back to the library tab), you should see the item in question.

    It looks like that's a note with an extracted table of contents (?) via ZotFile. I'm not sure whether you have anything else in it, but it's too long to sync, and you'll need to shorten it.

    You don't have to do that. You just have to shorten the note.

    But Zotero's new PDF reader, in addition to supporting its own native annotations, will also extract annotations made in external PDF readers, just like ZotFile. (It doesn't currently have an option to extract the table of contents, but you can view the table of contents in the left-hand sidebar.)

    OK I just disabled Zotfile and it seems to synced now.

    To be clear, just disabling ZotFile wouldn't affect this. You would have to have shortened or deleted the note.
