Hi, I've tried unlinking my document in Word and in Google docs by creating new copies, copying & pasting, restarting Zotero, etc. Nothing is working. Can you help?
Oh when I click "Unlink Citations", I get that message. It's very strange! The reason I think they are still linked is that they are not plain text, i.e. when I click on the in-text citations they take me to the Zotero homepage.
You mention using Word and google doc -- how exactly did you move the document between the two? I think if you download a google doc into Word and then re-upload the Word doc, you'd get exactly what you're seeing: citations that are still hyperlinked but not actually active Zotero citations. (You should have received a warning in the process)
It sounds like you somehow got to a point where Zotero isn't aware of citations originally added by Zotero. It would also be good to try to figure out how that happened, so it won't happen again (as, e.g, it'd also prevent you from adding a bibliography if it happens earlier on in the process)
Yes exactly. It doesnt even update the bibliography anymore. Okay I'll just manually remove each hyperlink. Thanks. In the future, I'll look at that link you shared above on switching across processors.

See https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/moving_documents_between_word_processors on moving between word processors.
