Error processing this file on ODF scan

Hello,

I'm getting the message 'there was an error processing this file' when I do an ODF scan.

I am using an ODT file. The RTF scan works fine.

Any suggestions?
  • Note you can't use the same markers in ODF scan and RTF scan. How do the citation markers use in the document?
  • That's probably the problem then. Here are some examples of my markers:

    {Cunningham et al. 2017; Adler and Rehkopf 2008}
    { |-Baumgartner and Jones 1993|p. 241}
  • Yeah, those are RTF Scan markers. ODF Scan markers look like this { | Smith, (2012) | | |zu:2433:WQVBH98K}

    The most critical part is the last one, which is how the marker is linked with your library item.

    See http://zotero-odf-scan.github.io/zotero-odf-scan/ for additional details
  • Thank you so much!

    I had read that github page before but missed the fact that the RTF and ODF scans had different citation markers-I think because the page is titled RTF/ODF scan.

    Is there any way to do a scan that adds the "zu:" numbers? My current workflow involves typing citations from memory rather than inserting them using a plugin or dragging them from Zotero.

    If not, I suppose I could just drag the citations in after I finish my paper.
