How to customize Patent Item Type
Hi, I'm a neophyte here and ordinary user of Zotero. I am entering Patent-related documents into Zotero using the Patent Item Type data entry form. Under the Info tab, there is inventor field, with two other options: Attorney/Agent and Contributor.
For documents that are not exactly patents, like trademarks, utility models, and industrial designs, the term "inventor" is not quite appropriate. The terms "maker" and "designer" are usually used. If I want to customize the Patent Item Type, by adding "maker" and "designer" as additional options of the creator, can I do it by editing the CSL that I am using or is it something hardcoded in Zotero itself?
If it can be added through the CSL, kindly help me identify the location in the script where it can be added.
Thank you in advance.

bwiernikAll three of those types of creators would generally be considered “authors” in terms of citations—they are the principle creator that would be listed in a citation. The “Inventor” field is mapped to CSL ‘author’, so you should just ignore the specific label in the Zotero window and use Inventor for all of these.
